THE HOLY BIBLE

We believe that the Bible alone and in its entirety, consisting of the Old and New Testament scriptures, is the Word of God, written by holy men divinely inspired by God. 2 Timothy 3.16

THE TRINITY

We believe in the unity of the Godhead: The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit. We believe that these three are equal. 1 John 5:7

THE VIRGIN BIRTH

We believe in the virgin birth of Jesus Christ, as stated in the scriptures, and that He was divinely conceived by the Holy Ghost. Luke 1:28-38

​

THE LORD JESUS CHRIST

We believe that Jesus Christ is the incarnate, eternal son of God. Through his substitutionary death on the cross, he provided salvation for all men and thereby became the mediator between God and men. 1 Timothy 2:5

SALVATION
We believe in salvation of the soul by faith through grace. And that upon the belief of the soul on the death by crucifixion, the burial and resurrection of Jesus on the 3rd day, followed up with a verbal declaration of Jesus Christ as the Son of God and admittance of Him as Lord and Saviour, salvation is attained. The righteousness of Christ is imputed on the soul by grace, hence to be lived out by faith daily in line with the teachings of Christ .

MAN

We believe that man was created in the likeness of His maker, but by voluntary transgression of God’s commandment, he fell into sin, which he incurred for all mankind. Romans 3:23, 6:23

JUSTIFICATION

We believe that justification is simply based on the satisfactory propitiation fully rendered by Christ, which when a sinner accepts and acts upon by faith is declared righteous. Rom.1:17

​

SANCTIFICATION

We believe that sanctification is the means by which, according to the will of God, we are made partakers of His holiness, and that sanctification is a definite and instantaneous work of grace that progressively consummates with our final reception in glory. 1 Thess. 5:23

​

ANGELS

We believe in the existence of angels and that they are spirit beings not bound by human laws, created holy, strong, wise, of various ranks, sexless, and innumerable.

SATAN AND DEMONS

We believe in the existence of Satan, whose original name was Lucifer, created by God at a time not specified, who rebelled against God and was cast down to the earth.

​

THE CHURCH

We believe that the church is the universal body of Christ on earth, consisting of born-again people in Christ according to the will of God, whose primary work is to evangelize the lost and maintain the bond of unity in love. However, the church does exist in various locations as the local church.

HOLY GHOST BAPTISM

We believe that the baptism of the Holy Ghost is a gift from God through our Lord Jesus Christ to all truly born-again believers. Which is to be received subsequent to the new birth and that it is accompanied with the speaking in tongues as the initial physical evidence. Acts.2:4

WATER BAPTISM

We believe in the believers’ water baptism by immersion in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost as the true symbolism of the death and burial of the old nature and the resurrection to the new life in Christ, which is not optional for the true believer.

THE LORD’S SUPER

We believe that the ordinance of the Lord’s Supper is a commandment of Christ to his body, the church, as a memorial of his death. It is restricted to true believers alone, who, by the sacred use of the bread and the wine, are to commemorate together the loving death of Christ, and is always preceded by a solemn self-examination. Matt.26:26-28

DIVINE HEALING

We believe that the divine healing of the physical human body by God through the laying of hands, prayers of faith, anointing, and faith in the word is provided in the atonement of Christ and that it is the privilege of all who accept it by faith. James 5:14–15.

MINISTRY

We believe that God, through the Holy Spirit, chooses certain individuals to serve in definite and outstanding ways, like, Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Teachers and pastors. These offices and officers, we believe, are not mere titles, but that God qualifies the one so called with the power, gifting, and wisdom. Also, we acknowledge that every believer is potentially gifted to serve in one capacity or another in the body for edification in love. Romans 12:3–8

MARRIAGE

We believe that marriage is an institution ordained by God and hallowed only between one man and one woman, such that it is binding till death do them part. Genesis 2:21–24; Matt 19:4-6

​

OCCULT AND FALSE RELIGION

We believe that the Bible forbids involvement in cults, spiritism, magical practices, the occult, and fortune telling because they are abominations to God. The members of Nations Light Ministries are strictly forbidden to associate with such practices. Deuteronomy 18:9–12; Exodus 20:3-5

THE SECOND COMING OF CHRIST

We believe in the visible second coming of Christ to the earth and the rapture of the believer to meet the Lord in the air, which is the believers' "BLESSED HOPE." 

​

CIVIL GOVERNMENT

We believe that the civil government is of divine appointment for the interests and good order of human society and that rulers are to be prayed for, honoured and obeyed except in matters opposed to the will of God and our Lord Jesus Christ, who is the only lord of the human conscience and king of kings of all the earth.

WORSHIP

We believe in the freedom to worship God in Spirit and in truth: that our services, prayers, sermons, etc. should be led of the Holy Spirit and should be original as much as possible. Our congregation is allowed to present their prayer request to God with thanksgiving, lifting up holy hands and voices loudly to sing and glorify God with all types of musical instruments.
